Starry March 4 Benefit Reading of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town
This very special reading of Our Town, commemorating the 75th anniversary of Thornton Wilder's 1938 Pulitzer Prize-winning work, recently welcomed cast members Blythe Danner, B.D. Wong, Martin Moran, Julia Murney, Howard McGillin and Leslie Odom, Jr., joining previously announced thesps Celia Keenan-Bolger, Rebecca Luker and Adriane Lenox for the March 4 benefit. Peter Flynn is set to direct.
Tappan Wilder, nephew and literary executor of the playwright stated, “My uncle loved actors—he was an actor himself, you know—and he was mighty proud to have written a popular large-cast play that provided his fellows with so many jobs! What a great pleasure it is to partner with The Actors Fund, which Thornton Wilder supported throughout his life, on the occasion of a major milestone in the history of his most famous work."
Curtain up at 7:30 pm at the Gerald R. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College in NYC! For tickets ($75, $100, and $150) visit www.actorsfund.org, call 212.221.7300 ext. 133 or email tickets@actorsfund.org.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Raises Funds to Help Those in Need

A standing ovation for our friends at Palm Beach Dramaworks—as well as its leaders Managing Director Sue Ellen Beryl and Producing Artistic Director Bill Hayes (who also serve as Fund National Ambassadors)—for their month-long fundraising efforts in conjunction with their production of A Raisin in the Sun.
The Fund’s link to Lorraine Hansberry’s acclaimed drama is a strong one, as the show’s Broadway producer, Philip Rose, lived at The Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, NJ (with his wife, Doris Belack Rose), as did Claudia McNeil, who starred as family matriarch Lena Younger in both the Broadway and film productions of the play—as well as a 1981 musical version.

Discuss innovative ways to sustain work later in life, foster creativity, lifelong learning and more. Moderated by our West Coast Director of The Actors Fund Work Program Joanne Webb.
