A Second Act for ENCORE Seniors in Los Angeles

“I just think it’s a great thing for actors, especially a lot of us that are seniors—a lot of seniors are cut off. They don’t get a chance to really talk about feelings, that’s the main thing. … We’re not retired, we’re going out on auditions and working...”

The Goodbye Girl Benefit Postponed
to Fall 2014

We’re not saying goodbye to The Goodbye Girl just yet! Due to a late-breaking change in the availability of its headliners, our recently announced all-star benefit concert of the acclaimed Neil Simon / Marvin Hamlisch / David Zippel musical has been postponed.

The concert, which reunites Broadway co-stars Norbert Leo Butz and Kate Baldwin and was announced for April 7 in NYC will now be rescheduled for Fall 2014.

"This is a scenario that frequently happens when putting together a benefit," said Fund CEO Joe Benincasa. "Wonderful actors get wonderful jobs, and The Actors Fund is always happy when actors are working."

Director David Zippel added "But the particular magic of pairing these two spectacular Broadway stars with this show is worth a waiting for, so we look forward to presenting The Goodbye Girl with Norbert and Kate this fall."

Read the press release for details, and stay tuned for a new date!
