Beverly Hills Bar Association's Lawyer Referral and Information Service

Offers confidential telephone consultations with trained counselors, referrals to experienced attorneys, thirty minute consultations with each attorney included with an initial $25 fee, or referrals to appropriate non-legal assistance.

California Department of Aging

The Department of Aging serves as a unifying resource that provides information on federal, state, and local programs and service providers. They host a hotline, 1-800-510-2020 , available to anyone seeking information about resources and services for seniors and adults with disabilities throughout California.

California Lawyers for the Arts

California Lawyers for the Arts aids the creative community with legal matters ranging from personal injury to intellectual property. Call 888.775.8995.

California Low Cost Automoble Insurance Program

This program offers yearly premiums at approximately $450/yr for Los Angeles County residents. The value of the car insured must not be more than $20,000 and participant must be a "good driver" and demonstrate financial need. Coverage is low.

Cancer Care Assist

Provides limited grants to individuals for certain expenses related to treatment.

CancerHawk

Database connecting cancer patients and their caregivers to useful resources such as financial assistance, travel assistance and tips, support networks, and information on clinical trials, prevention and recent advances.

Center for Parent Information and Resources

Provides information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children and youth.

Christian Food Center

This center charges $10/year and clients can then go 4 times a month for $25/visit and receive 200 pounds of food each time. Food includes fresh vegetables, bread, canned food, poultry, fish, etc. If someone is low income or disabled they will pay less or may have the fee waived.

Clear Health Costs

This website allows you to find retail or self-pay prices for medical procedures and items, as well as the Medicare pay rate. Their Price Check feature allows you to share the price you paid for a procedure as well.

Corporate Angel Network

Organization that eases the emotional stress, physical discomfort and financial burden of travel for cancer patients by arranging free flights to treatment centers, using the empty seats on corporate aircraft flying on routine business. Check website for eligibility requirements.
