RHYMES WITH OPERA concludes its 2015-16 season with the world premiere screening of composer Ruby Fulton and librettist Baynard Woods’ new full-length video opera Adams Run.

The opera is a dark comedy which takes place in a dystopic future amidst chaotic and extreme weather. The two top-rated television hosts, the Reverend Billy Noble and existentialist weather woman Julie Shore, vie to have the most-viewed program in America. When Julie visits the Reverend at his weather research outpost in North Carolina (nicknamed The Ark), each find themselves magnetically drawn to the other despite their ideological differences. Television producer Dana Daring tells their story, recalling the tale in a series of news magazine-style flashbacks.

ADAMS RUN is a feature-length video opera that stars members of the RHYMES WITH OPERA ensemble alongside special guest artists and the RHYMES WITH ORCHESTRA. This world premiere screening will incorporate live singing and orchestra for these performances only.
