Combatting Anti-Asian Bias Resources

Below is a list of organizations that provide information, support and resources with which to connect. In addition to these resources, The Actors Fund continues to be available to provide clinical assessments and referrals to performing arts and entertainment professionals.

Stop AAPI Hate
The Asian Pacific Planning and Policy Council (A3PCON), Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA) and the Asian American Studies Department of San Francisco State University launched the Stop AAPI Hate reporting center on March 19, 2020. It is a coalition of more than forty community-based organizations that serve and represent the 1.5 million Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the greater Los Angeles area, with a particular focus on low-income, immigrant, refugee and other vulnerable populations.

Healing with The Actors Fund Group for Non-Black POC Entertainment Professionals
PREREQUISITE: Pre-interview with Facilitator and weekly group commitment required.

Healing with The Actors Fund provides Non-Black POC entertainment professionals a space to affirm experiences, discuss the impact of racial injustice within the entertainment industry and community as a whole, while fostering a place for restorative dialog and compassion. These groups will also process disproportionate ways COVID-19 has affected non-white communities and provide support and resources between participants.

Yellow Chair Collective has Asian therapists in Los Angeles, CA who are ready to support those seeking therapy.

Asian Mental Health Collective
Through projects such as social media groups, video web-series and resource libraries (including a list of national mental health providers), the Asian Mental Health Collective aims to not only provide support but also facilitate the difficult conversations that need to happen to move forward.

National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association
The National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association promotes mental health wellness through resources, trainings and awareness, including a national directory of mental health providers.
