Lambda Legal

Lambda Legal is dedicated to protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals and those living with HIV/AIDS through legal assistance, educational campaigns, and public policy advocacy. Visit www.lambdalegal.org for information regarding individual rights or access to the Legal Help Desk. The Help Desk provides referrals to an appropriate attorney and general legal advice. To contact the Legal Help Desk in closest proximity, locate the hotline on the website or complete an online form.

Lambda Legal

A non-profit advocacy organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work. This site is also useful in finding laws regarding employment, relationship and parenting protection in every state.

Law Help: New York

This is a resource for helping low-income New Yorkers in need of legal advice or resources. The site can help to find free legal services in the community, learn about legal rights, obtain general information about the courts, and more.

League of Independent Theater (LITNY)

A League of Off-Off Broadway Theater companies. The League is an active participant in the political and social life of the Off-Off Broadway sector, meeting regularly with elected officials, service organizations and its member artists.

Legal Aid Society of New York

Provides direct legal assistance to low-income families and individuals through a network of neighborhood and court-based offices and through specialized projects and city-wide programs. The practice includes civil law, criminal law, juvenile law and law reform.

Legal Services NYC

Helps low-income people throughout New York City access the legal system. Legal assistance is provided primarily in the areas of housing, family, and benefits, as well as in areas of growing importance such as consumer, education, foreclosure prevention and disability rights.

Local 2110, UAW

An amalgamated union covering universities, publishing, museums, law firms and other offices. We represent teachers, secretaries, administrators, editors, computer operators, librarians, museum curators, typesetters and graphic artists, among many others.

Make-up & Hair Stylists, IATSE, Local 798

Represents Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists who work in the production of Film, Television, Network Broadcast Television, Commercials, Theater, Video, New Media and anywhere Local 798 has a contract.

Mayor's Office for People with disabilities

Provides disabled individuals and their families with program, service and activity directories, informative brochures, and other resources. Resources include links to city programs, laws, advocacy/independent living, education, housing, transportation, employment, disability specific resources and recreation.

Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment

Provides support, information, funding, training, career development and employment opportunities for workers in the film and television industry.

Media Bistro

Provides career advice and employment listings for marketing, advertising, publishing, sales, PR, digital media, television, design jobs.

Medicare

A federally funded program that provides medical and prescription coverage for seniors and the disabled.

Mercy Medical Airlift

Coordinates free airline tickets for missions over 600 miles and negotiates low cost air ambulance service for individuals and families in need of this service.

MFY Legal Services, Inc

Provides free legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers on a wide range of civil legal issues including housing eviction prevention, public benefits and entitlements, mental health and consumer issues.

Microsoft Office Training Center

Provides online training to practice and increase your skills and knowledge in the multiple applications of Microsoft Office Suite.
