Our highly qualified and caring professional staff are here to welcome you or your loved one for short-stay rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, certified dementia care and hospice care.
Short-Stay Rehabilitation: Our short-stay services focus on rehabilitation therapies (physical, occupational and speech), all with the goal of a safe return home after a hospital stay. The facility is available to anyone, whether you have worked in performing arts and entertainment or not. We accept Medicare, other insurance and private pay options.
Long-Term Care: Long-Term care, including Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, is available to individuals who have dedicated the majority of their professional lives to the performing arts and entertainment industry and their immediate families. We accept long-term care insurance, New Jersey Medicaid and private pay options.
As a non-profit organization, The Actors Fund provides assistance with New Jersey Medicaid application for those who are unable to pay privately.
Eligibility for admission to our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities is based on professional work history in the performing arts and entertainment industry. Spouses, domestic partners, parents, children and siblings are eligible for admission based on the employment history of an eligible family member.
In general, an applicant over 60 years of age should have:
- A minimum of 20 years of work in performing arts and entertainment, and
- Annual earnings of at least $2,000 for 10 out of those 20 years
Exceptions to the 20 year work history minimum include dancers who may have retired or transitioned out of the industry due to age, as well as any entertainment professional forced to transition out of the industry due to a disability or to other circumstances.
Based on availability, our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities are available to Bergen County, New Jersey, residents outside the industry.

The Home's brand new subacute rehabilitation center helps patients recover from illness or surgery before returning home.
The Home’s Assisted Living serves seniors who may still be active but can benefit from special assistance.
Our skilled nursing area provides 24-hour care to residents who may need more assistance or are no longer able to care for themselves.
The Actors Fund Home’s skilled nursing home includes a very special neighborhood, Broadway on Hudson. Broadway on Hudson is a 32 bed neighborhood that is certified in dementia care by the New Jersey Department of Health.
