Getting health insurance or finding quality medical care can be confusing for anyone who isn’t covered by an employer or union health plan. Our Artists Health Insurance Resource Center identifies coverage options and helps members of the visual and performing arts community enroll in them.

Working from our offices in New York and Los Angeles, our experienced staff provides health insurance counseling nationwide. Our multi-faceted services include:
- Consultations by phone and via email
- Weekly seminars on Affordable Care Act plans, Medicaid and Medicare
- Enrollment assistance in Affordable Care Act plans, Medicaid and Medi-Cal in New York and California from certified application counselors
- Information and practical tips from our online educational materials
- An extensive database of nationwide health care and insurance resources
- Community outreach through participation in health fairs, arts conferences and other local events
- Advocacy for legislative changes that will make insurance more user-friendly and affordable; for example, the successful fight for a COBRA subsidy* in New York State for entertainment industry workers
- Information and practical tips from our monthly Health Insurance HQ

We provide assistance nationally. Please complete this short online form and a Health Benefits Specialist will contact you by phone and/or email. Please note that due to very high volume of requests between October - January, it may take us 2-5 business days to get back to you. We are working as quickly as we can and look forward to speaking with you soon! In addition, our office does not accept any requests for Medicare counseling between December 11 - January 1, with an exception for those who are turning 65 in January or February. Thank you.

Gives residents program details on Medicaid. People who meet disability requirements are eligible to have their medical care covered by Medicaid. The Medicaid By-In Program is for working people with disabilities. This program allows eligible individuals to earn more income without the risk of losing vital health care coverage.
