Music Therapy- Using Music as a Wellness Practice
This workshop series will provide you with tools and resources to help you use music as a wellness practice in your day-to-day personal and professional life. Music can enrich your mind-body-spirit integration and help you through challenges and transitions. This 8 week series will be co-led by Samantha Sancho and Yanitza Lee, interns from The Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and is co-produced by the The Waldman Living Room.
Prerequisite:
Must be 65+ and a current member of the Waldman Living Room, or working with a social worker at the Actors Fund, or a professional or retiree in the entertainment community who meets Actors Fund eligibility (over 20 years as a professional in the entertainment industry, with earnings of $5000+/year from entertainment in any 10 years, or $6500+/year of entertainment earnings in 3 or more of the last 7 years).
